Funeral services for Don Howard Rogers, age 74, of Richwood will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 12, 2016, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Josh McGee of First Baptist Church, Clute, officiating. Interment will be held at Restwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lakewood Funeral Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on October 11, 2016. Don was born on October 31, 1941, to William Albert and Vivian Pullin Rogers in Beeville, TX Don worked for many years for Dow Chemical and Infinity Construction. Don had many friends and family and was loved by all. Don enjoyed being with his family and playing golf, hunting and fishing. Don was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Pullin Rogers; father, William Albert Rogers Sr. He was also loved by his brother, William Albert (W.A.) Rogers Jr. (deceased), and sister-in-law, Marilyn Rogers, of Midland, MI. Survivors include his loving wife, Diane, of Richwood; children, Kathy Sydow and husband, Larry, of Katy, Ted Macon, of Smithville, Rhonda Irwin and husband, Larry, of Oyster Creek, Kimberly Wicker and husband, Mark of Angleton, and Monica Engel; nieces, Susan Rogers Ripple (Daniel) and Melinda Rogers Russo (Chuck); and nephew, Keith Rogers (Diane) and nine great nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Patrick Crofton, Brittany Crofton, Colby Sydow, Marcus Sydow, Jonathan Wicker, Melissa Shelton, and MeKayla Engel; and two great-granddaughters, Ellie and Lexie Shelton. We all always enjoyed his storytelling and avid joke telling and will miss his jovial calls. Please make memorial donations to the charity of your choice.

Diane and family - I am so sorry for your loss. I have not seen Don in many, many years but remember him as always a very friendly and happy person. I know he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
