Joe Victor Ramirez


Joe Victor Ramirez, 79 of Clute,Texas passed away on May 12, 2015 in Houston Texas.

Visitation will be Monday evening May 18, 2015 from 5-8 p.m., with a Rosary starting at 7 p.m., funeral service on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson.

Joe was born in February 3, 1936, in Corpus Christi Texas to Marcus & Fannie (Cortez) Ramirez. After serving in the United States Army, Joe worked and then retired after 27.2 years for Dow Chemical. He is a lifetime member and past president of The Fraternal Order of Eagles and a part- time member of the VFW in Clute, Texas. Both the VFW and FOE have helped out in numerous charities throughout Brazoria County, which he graciously helped out in.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, son Michael M Ramirez, and his brother Robert Ramirez.

Survivors include his wife, Esther C. Ramirez, daughters; Vivian Timmons (Hugh), Frances Ramirez, Marina Ager (Steven), Gina Smith (Sean), Beatrice Wilson, Chelsie Jo McLaren (Andrew), son Bryan Yourganson, Step-Son Gonzalo Riojas Jr & Family, Step-Son Robert Riojas (Sheri), Step-Daughter Christina Martinez (Daniel); Sisters Mary Chaney (Bill), Molly Kozak (Raymond) and Brother Val Ramirez (Carol).

He leaves behind 14 Grandchildren, 10 Step-Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, 11 Step- Great Grandchildren and 1 Step- Great-Great Grandchild; numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends. Joe was a loving Husband, Father Brother, Grandfather and Uncle, he will be dearly missed.
