Michael Phillip Lane was born on December 20th, 1960, was predeceased by his father Francis "Jerry" Lane, and his sister Pamela Samford.

Michael is survived by his wife Juanita Chavez Lane, the love of his life, his Mother Arlene Lane, his sister Stacy Lane, his brother Steve Smith, his mother in law Shirley Chavez, his Father in Law Guadalupe Chavez, his sister in laws, his brother in laws, and his numerous nieces and nephews.
If you knew Michael, then you knew all about his time on the water. Michael loved the water and spent many years shrimping. Michael was an avid gardener, and was proud to show off his many plants and flowers. Michael had a very kind and gentle spirit about him, he gave freely of his time to anyone he could help.

He was born in Warren, Ohio and grew up in Texas City, where he spent as much time as he could out at the Texas City Dike. Michael worked For National Lumper Service in Houston, Texas for the last five years, where he made many friends. Michael enjoyed spending any free time that he had with his wife, Juanita.

The family wishes to thank all the family and friends that kept Michael in their prayers during his illness and his numerous hospital stays, as well as the staff of A-Med Hospice that worked with Michael to keep him comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to A-Med Hospice, 8901 E.F. Lowry Expy, Texas City, Tx 77591, Memo: In memory of Michael Lane.

The family will receive friends 10am until 11am Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel.

Michael was a beloved son, husband, brother and friend. For Michael, "Juanita was his life."

My prayers, love, and sympathy go to all of Michael's family. Grace Memorial Baptist Church has had him on their prayer list--and even Wednesday night of this week--we prayed for Michael. I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I have been friends with Juanita since childhood. although I never had the chance to meet Michael, my heart is setted because I know of his love 41 Nita and her family. I am sending my love and prayers to all of you. God knew his plan long before Michael was born. he is now safe in the arms of Jesus with no more pain no more sorrow. I'm lifting you up in the name of our God and praying for comfort and understanding for his plan.be still and know that He is God and someday soon you will be with him once again.

I have worked with Michael's sister Stacy for the last 2 and 1/2 years and not only is she a good person, I consider her a good friend. Anyone who knows Stacy knew that she was so close to Michael and remain his rock in his final days even though she was breaking down in the inside. Stacy I just encourage you to remain strong because I know you can do it because I have seen you be the strongest you have ever been these past few months for Michael and J. Just know we all love you and we are so proud of you. I will continue to pray for You, Your Mother, and J.
