A great man is gone. As Gary’s youngest brother my heart breaks as he was one of my childhood hero’s. I was so proud as a child to tell my friends that my brother was in the Navy. My dad kept his picture on his desk in the den and I always thought he looked like Elvis. Before he was married he lived with us and I remember him coming home from night and getting us dressed and cooking us breakfast. After he married and left we would not see each other offer but we would talk on the phone every few months. At the funeral I could see how loved he was by so many people and because of the time we spent apart so many knew him better than I did but I was happy knowing that I knew him the longest. I became a soldier and spent 27 years in the Army so I was not only his brother but was also his brother in arms. I am a better man knowing him. I love you Gary.

I want to say that Gary was a great man. He has done his time with the Brazoria County Calvary rides and it's awesome to honor the military and the first responders. He will be missed. Love y'all. May God be with family and friends through this time. Saturday, January 2, 2021 |

Andrew & I send our deepest condolences to the Oltz family. Gary will be deeply missed by many. His faithfulness & dedication to my dads church & congregation has been truly inspiring and a blessing to watch over the years. He is irreplaceable and truly one of the finest men I ever had the privilege of knowing this side of heaven. Saturday, January 2, 2021 |

Heartfelt Sympathy for the entire family in such a great loss! An Angel he was, has joined many others way up yonder! Love you GARY! Fond memories of meeting you with JoAnn, a classmate way back, checking ya out Jumbo Supermarket, the pleasure of seeing ya many times at WPE, then to learn you had married Susan, whom I as well already knew from WPE and her children! Have dearly loved you all through the years! Fly High With The Angels, they are Blessed to have another Leader!! Saturday, January 2, 2021 |
