Aunt Barbara was my dad, James Perry's, older sister. She was just great; the polar opposite of my dad. She was kind, funny, full of love, and loved her family.
Alan is only a few years older than me, so I probably had more access to the Gray clan than a lot of my family,
Aunt Barbara was always there for Nanaw too. Bless her heart for that.
So yeah, I am piling into my handicap van in my electric wheelchair and making the trek to Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Clute (what?) tomorrow from Cypress, Texas. . Besides, when might I get to see Cindy and Rick, Lynn, Chris and Larry, and Linda and Alan all at the same time.
There will laughing, there will be crying, we will remember Barbara Gray!

During all the years at US Contractors, I remember those beautiful rings she always wore and enjoyed. I still use the shawl she crocheted and gave to me.
Lots of good memories, treasure yours. Friday, June 17, 2022 |

Linda, Cindy and Alan - It doesn't matter how old we are, or whether our mothers are still with us in body or only in spirit....we all still love, need and cherish our mothers. Your mom was one of a kind, so dedicated to family and God above all else. What treasured memories I know you will always hold of her! Her kindness, loving spirit and generosity certainly lives on in you. The heavens must be rejoicing with the reunion of your mom and dad. My sincere sympathy to you and your entire family. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. I know Uncle Edward had his arms open awaiting Aunt Barbara. Wednesday, June 15, 2022 |
