Perry Bruce Lowery
2/19/1942 - 12/16/2020

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Avid outdoorsman, passionate hunter and fisherman, brave serviceman, husband, father, and without a doubt, the world's greatest Pop! It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Bruce P. Lowery on Wednesday December 16, 2020 at the age of 78. Bruce was a lifelong resident of Brazoria County. He was born in Freeport, Texas in 1942. After graduating from Brazosport High School, Class of 1960, at the young age of 18 he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany for four years. Upon his return to Clute, he married Judy Pate and together they raised two children and later welcomed four grandchildren. After 28 years as an electrician, he retired from Dow Chemical. Bruce was always a hardworking man who never went anywhere without his red trailer in tow ready to take on difficult projects at his numerous rental properties or around the house. Bruce loved to work with his hands and could jimmy a solution to every broken thing or misplaced part. He will be remembered as an incredibly generous man with an unmatched work ethic and his willingness to help a neighbor in need. Bruce loved God, his family, and the great outdoors was his heaven on earth. We will miss him every day. Although a place was made vacant in our home he will always be in our heart.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 55 years Judy Pate Lowery; two children, Stacey Lowery Strong and her husband Jimmy, Cory Lowery and his wife Kim; his brother, Donald Lowery and his wife Cathy; four granddaughters, Katherine and Madeline Strong; and Aubrey and Brooke Lowery.

He is preceded in death by his parents Perry and Laverne Lowery, brother Bobby Lowery, and sister Connie Dosser. Pallbearers: Mark Alexander, Mike Alexander, Ronnie Alexander, Brett Blanchard, Kevin Olshovsky, Lance Olshovsky, and Gene Burke.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 1:00 at First Baptist Church in Clute, Texas. The family will receive friends at the church for visitation from 11:30-1:00. Burial will be held at Restwood Cemetery.
