Bradd Leo Bump
3/1/1966 - 1/7/2023

On January 7th, surrounded by loving family Bradd Leo Bump passed into Heaven after a 4 yr. fierce battle with cancer. He fought this battle with incredible bravery and grace and became a hero to many along the path of his journey. Bradd was born in Tulsa, Ok. March 1st, 1966 to Mary Dunlap Bump and Earl Leo Bump. He was an identical twin and this created fun moments and attention even during adulthood. In early childhood due to his dad Leo's career moves Bradd attended elementary schools in O'Fallon, MO., Omaha, NE, Lakewood CO, Olathe, KS and Tiawah, Ok. Bradd attended Inola High School in Inola, Ok. and then University of Oklahoma. Anyone that knew Bradd knew his huge passion for the OU football team. Even in heaven I am sure he is saying BOOMER SOONER! to the other angels.

Bradd was a force in his work career at American Airlines in (Tulsa, Ok.) and Lyondell Chemical (Houston,Tx.) enjoying many amazing friendships and receiving accolades on his projects over the span of his career. He was well respected because of his intelligence and knowledge and love of his work projects. He would work very long hours and he only stopped working 5 months before his death.

He loved sports of every kind including curling! He encouraged his children in sporting activities and participated in supporting youth groups by coaching youth soccer leagues and attending children's sporting activities from kindergarten through high school. Another passion was his Bumpback40 Ranch property and along with his wife Cindy cleared property, renovated an old farmhouse and built many structures over the years there. He loved being outdoors whether for hard work or pleasure.

Bradd also had a passion to cook for his family at the BB40 ranch house as well as their river house. Many memories of family gatherings on holidays will be cherished forever. His specialty was his beans, empanadas, bacon stuffed jalapeno peppers, homemade waffles and his famous cheesecake. He even made his hospice nurse a cheesecake. No matter how sick he was he was still thinking how he could make someone else's day brighter.

He never lost sight of the importance of friends and family and was always a giving, supportive role model along the way. He loved his wife, friends and family deeply. This incredible loss to his family will be felt for a lifetime. His most prized role was becoming a "Gatpaw". He was very excited about 2 new upcoming grandbabies being born this year. He tried really hard to live for those upcoming events. We know he will be looking down from heaven when they arrive.

Bradd used his illness to promote awareness of prostate cancer and support the MD Anderson Bootwalk event in Houston, Texas each year. No matter how sick or weak he felt from treatments he walked the miles to support finding a cure for all kinds of cancer not just the one he had. He was a top fundraiser in his category for individuals and was invited to attend the awards ceremonies every year. He felt so loved and honored for all the support he received on his journey.

He is deeply missed and survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Cindy Bump; parents Mary and Leo Bump of Owasso, Ok.; brothers Brent Bump and wife Leigh Ann of Claremore, Ok., Bryan Bump and wife Carrie of Mustang, Ok. ; children Garrett Bump and wife Sydney, Emily Vanderpool and husband Jonah, Braden Bump, Jennifer Orozco and husband Saul, Christopher Hill and wife Monica, grandchildren Pierce Govender, Anna Orozco, Isabela Hill, also nephews, nieces and cousins and extended family members. He was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of Grandson Liam.

Go rest high on that mountain Bradd. Your life will never be forgotten as it will continue to be deeply cherished by all of us left behind. Celebrations of life to follow.
