Norman Douglas Thomas, 85 of Friendswood, Texas, was called home by the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

He was born on August 30, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas to Douglas and Aline Thomas.

He is survived by his five daughters, Loretta Gray and husband Josh, Lisa Johnson and husband Barry, Teresa Rhodes, Debra Thomas and husband Phillip, Shelley Garza and husband Richard.

Siblings, Denita Khlem and husband Ronnie and Edward Thomas and wife Janie.

He has eight grandchildren - Dustin Johnson and wife Jennifer, Audrey Walch and husband Josh, Baylor Johnson and wife Kayleigh; children of Lisa and Barry Johnson. Amanda Wallace and husband Cody, Douglas Rhodes and significant other Alexis; children of Teresa Rhodes. Casey Thomas and wife Opal, David Thomas and wife Amy; children of Debra and Phillip Thomas. Kyle Garza; child of Shelley and Richard Garza.
Twelve great grandchildren - Delaney and Landon Johnson, Carter and Kori Walch, Hunter, Holt and Hudson Wallace, Eli Anderson and Haley Rhodes, Casey, Rufus and Danell Thomas, Wyatt and Zelda Thomas, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by fathers Douglas Thomas and Millard Voss, Mother Aline Voss and brother Bobby Thomas and wife Jerri.

The Pallbearers include his six grandsons - Dustin Johnson, Baylor Johnson, Casey Thomas, David Thomas, Douglas Rhodes and Kyle Garza.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 Dixie Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566, followed by funeral services at Noon with Brice Fowler officiating. Interment will be held at Restwood Cemetery immediately after the service.
