Rosa Linda Salazar-Burton 1962 - June 19, 2025

Rosie passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, after a long battle with several health issues.

Rosie was born on September 3, 1962 in Freeport, Texas to Jesse and Teresa Salazar. She was preceded in death by both parents, her son, Quintin (Geno) Burton, Jr, her sisters Angie Salazar and Mary Ann Krampota and her brother Jesse Salazar,Jr.

Rosie grew up in Clute, Texas and graduated from Brazoswood High School in 1981. She married Quintin Burton, Sr. that same year and together, they had 3 children, Tamara Cherie, Geno and Vanessa Burton.
Well known throughout her life, Rosie took pride in always being able to help anyone in need, however she could and with no judgement nor questions asked.
She enjoyed watching any sports games of her grandchildren, and nieces & nephews, and could always be heard cheering loudly for them in the stands. She was often called ''The Crazy Tia'' and she wore that title proudly! She lived by the motto ''Whatever you are in life, BE THE BEST AT IT!''

In recent years, she was faced with many health issues that left her unable to do lots of things she once loved to do but it never stopped her from trying.
On their 44th wedding anniversary, Rosie waited on Glenn, held his hand and peacefully transitioned to an eternal life, free of pain and welcomed by those that went before her.

She leaves behind to cherish many, many memories her devoted husband, Glenn, sister, Carmen Salazar (Criss), brother, John Anthony Salazar, daughters, Tamara Cherie and Vanessa(Ashley), granddaughters Ariana (NaNa) Cupree, Cambria (Cam) Jestin, Armani (Mani) Celise, great-granddaughter Amiyah Harvey, grandsons Isaiah Danté, Shomari and Damani, special and favorite niece Tiffani Mallory, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many others who were lucky enough to have come in contact with her special soul.

Pallbearers are Sistos Lara Jr., Robert Lara, Jacob Mallory, Isaiah Robinson, Fabian Trevino, and Lamar Burton.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Choice Hospice for their tremendous support and care of Rosie in her final days.
