Sandra Lois O'Barr, 66, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love and presence of her family.

Sandra was born on December 28, 1958, in Navasota, Texas, and made Houston her home in 1979. There, she built a life rooted in strength and fierce devotion to the people she loved. She was known for her sharp wit, stubborn spirit, and unwavering loyalty.

She had a deep love for fishing and found peace near the water. A true fan of rock and roll, Sandra filled her life with music that matched her bold and unapologetic personality. Whether she was casting a line or turning up her favorite songs, she embraced the moments that made life feel alive.

Sandra faced her illness with incredible strength and dignity. Even as her body weakened, her spirit remained unshaken. She chose to spend her final days at home, lovingly cared for by her daughter Heather and surrounded by family.

She is survived by her daughters, Heather Cary (husband Steven Cary) and Jennifer O'Barr (husband Michael Flores); grandchildren, Layna Callejas (husband Gerardo Callejas), Bailey Flores (fiancé Tristin Maiorka), Tristan Flores, and Damien Cary; and her great-grandchildren, Xavier Callejas, Giovanni Callejas, Paisley Maiorka, and Carson Maiorka. Each of them brought joy, light, and meaning to her life, and they will carry her memory with them always.

Sandra's legacy lives on in her family, the adventures she stewarded, the strength she passed down, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A private family gathering will be held in accordance with her wishes.
