Jeannine Gilliam, 88, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on August 23, 2025. She was born on September 29, 1936, in a log cabin in Brachfield, Texas. She grew up in Camp Chemical during WWII and in Lake Jackson, Texas. She married the love of her life, Jack Gilliam, on June 6, 1953. Jeannine was a strong, independent woman who loved to cook and travel - including taking her parents on 3-week driving vacations across the US, international travel to Canada and Europe and taking her grandchildren to Disney World. Jeannine spent 21 years as a secretary at DOW Chemical Company before retiring in 1995.

She is survived by her sister, Belva Davis-Reiser; children, Roger Gilliam (Linda), Sharon Harris (Dave) and Laurie Montgomery (Jack); grandchildren, Christina Saucedo (Simon III), Carrie Bailey (Glen), Hilarie Butler, Ryan Johnston (Erin), Teressa Cavanaugh (Bill), David Harris (Lauren); eighteen grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gilliam; her grandson, Justin Grove; her parents, Curtis and Edith Allred; and her brother, Jimmy Allred.

Pallbearers will be Simon Saucedo III, Glen Bailey, Jack Hambrick, Ryan Johnston, Micah Ellis, and John Lively.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gabriel Martinez, Isaac Martinez and Simon Saucedo IV.

Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 North Dixie Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas, officiated by Pastor Jeff Lege. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, 8/29/25. Her celebration of life will be on Saturday, 8/30/25, at 11:00 am, followed by graveside interment.
