Obituary of Karl Eric Peronto
March 28, 1965 - August 31, 2025

Karl Eric Peronto was born on March 28, 1965, in Ishpeming, Michigan. He passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2025, at home in Freeport, TX.

Karl grew up in Ishpeming, MI where he graduated Westwood High School. He went on to enlist in the United States Army.

Karl honorably served our country as a mechanic in the Army. He deployed to Germany during the Gulf War and served our country until an honorable discharge in 1993. He continued in a career as a welder for the City of Killeen until his retirement in 2022.

Karl is survived by his loving wife, Jan, and their three sons, Kolton, Kolby and Konnor, mother, Gloria, Sisters, Nina Fredrickson (Greg), Myra Rushford (Dean), brother, Walter (Jane), and many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws and preceded in death by father, Walter.

He was a devoted husband to Jan for their 30-year marriage always with chivalry and honor putting Jan first. He was fully immersed in raising their sons to be gentlemen and showed them warmth, tenderness, and affection.

Karl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and everything to do with his family. He enjoyed traveling and would strike up a friendly conversation everywhere he went. He passionately discussed politics and respectfully listened to all opinions. He was a proud Veteran and displayed the American Flag adhering to the proper rules and etiquette for flying the American Flag.

Karl will be remembered for his family dedication, wonderful laugh, his kindness and for truly being such a good man!

Visitation will be held at Freeport-Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson on September 6, 2025, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm and for those wishing to stay, a memorial service will be held following the visitation at 3 pm.
A private burial with full military honors will be on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Houston National Cemetery.

Karl was born on a Sunday and went to Heaven on a Sunday. ''Sunday's child is full of Grace.'' The sand may brush off and the salt may wash away but the Memories will last forever! Heaven is Just Beachy now!
