Bobby Lee Breeden

Bobby Lee Breeden of Lake Jackson, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026. Bobby was born on August 28, 1927, and grew up in Bay City, Texas. He was a boy scout in Troop 39 and played the flute in the high school band. Upon graduating high school in 1945, he joined the Navy reserve. After being discharged in late 1946, he attended college at Baylor University and graduated in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in business. He went to work for Dow Chemical and, in 1952, married his hometown girlfriend, Martha Verser. They were blessed with two children, David Lee and Susan Kay. They enjoyed annual family vacations from the east coast to the west coast, with the ultimate trip to Hawaii in 1977 to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. Bobby served as a deacon at the Presbyterian Church in Freeport and Lake Jackson, and as assistant treasurer for the Presbyterian Church - now the Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lake Jackson.
Bobby is predeceased by his parents, Fenn and Lola Breeden, brother Dr. Shelton Breeden, wife Martha, and son David. Survivors are daughter Susan, nephews Lee Haring and Bob Breeden (Susan), nieces Mary Claire Pollard (Kent) and Faith Robin Michaels, and several great nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 6:00pm Thursday January 15th, 2026 at Lakewood Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Friday, January 16th, 2026 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with burial at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City, Texas.
