Roger Lane Prichard, a proud pipefitter/welder and longtime member of Local 211, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born on January 12, 1942, in Clute, Texas. Roger built a life defined by hard work, loyal friends and a good time. In addition to being a veteran of the United States Army, he worked as a pipefitter/welder, earning the respect of coworkers and friends through his skill and dedication. As a member of Local 211, he took great pride in his trade and the brotherhood it represented. He was a lifetime member of the Freeport VFW, and a member of the American Legion of Brazoria.

Beyond his career, Roger was a man who cherished the simple meaningful joys of life. He was an avid camper who found peace in the outdoors, often happiest besides a campfire with good friends and his family. He had a deep love for classic country music, and many will remember him tapping his foot to a familiar tune or singing along to his favorites, like Waylon Jennings and George Jones. He also enjoyed relaxing with classic western movies, tending to his garden, and rides on the beach in his Jeep.

Roger is survived by his sister, Rosie Blair of Lake Jackson, his daughters, Tina Lewallen (Aaron [[][[]]Lew]) of Port Neches, TX, and Terri O'Kelley (George) of Bryan, TX, and his grandchildren Morgan, Theirn, and Bonnie Lewallen; Brinna, Braelyn and Dean Fortman; Garrett and Keagan O'Kelley, numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbye (Haynes), his daughter Rebecca (Becky) Fortman, Parents Ollie (Roark) and Doyle Prichard, His sisters Doylie Seibel and Bonita Trammell.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Lewallen, Brian Fortman, George O'Kelley, Bobby Hart, Keegan O'Kelley, Theirn Lewallen.

The funeral service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026 at 10:00am. Visitation will be from 9:30am until the service. Graveside service will be at 4:00pm in Mexia, TX at Old Bethel Cemetery.
