Kurt Russell Phillips

Kurt Russell Phillips beloved son of, Ronald R. Phillips and Ena Brenda Phillips, passed away on January 27th, 2026 at St. Lukes Hospital in Houston, after a long battle with liver issues.

He was born in Freeport, TX. Attended high school in Lake Jackson, TX. He was an assistant manager for Aramark Food Service at Dow Chemical for many years until he got sick and could no longer work.

He is preceded in death by his younger brother, Kent Michael Phillips, and his aunt, Patricia Phillips.

He is survived by his parents, Ron and Brenda Phillips, Brother, Karl Lee Phillips, and nieces and nephews, Jaxon Phillips, Ava Phillips, Bonny Phillips and Michael Phillips, who loved him dearly.

He loved animals. He would take in and care for stray animals when he could. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. He collected clowns and liked to party. He was loved by many people. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. He will be entombed with his brother, Kent Michael Phillips at Restwood Cemetery in Clute, TX.

Visitation will be 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Monday, January 9th, 2026 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at 3:00pm Monday at Restwood Cemetery.
