Diane Heinemeyer Davis
7/13/1951 - 2/11/2026

Diane Heinemeyer Davis, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, business owner, and devoted friend to many, passed peacefully on February 11, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born July 13, 1951, to Marcus and Bernice McCann.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Mike McCann; her sister, Toni Engeling; and her cherished friends, Jacquie and Dave Child.

Diane graduated from Columbia High School in 1969, though she proudly carried the spirit of a Sweeny Bulldog from her early school years. After attending business school, she began her career in insurance with Elbert Insurance and later joined Best Insurance, where she worked for many years. In 1994, Diane took a leap of faith, determined to build something of her own. She founded Apple Insurance inside a small grocery store, a bold beginning that planted the roots of a lasting legacy. For 23 years, she poured her knowledge, heart, and relentless dedication into the business she built. Even after retiring in 2017 and passing the reins to her children, Diane continued working part-time behind the scenes until just a few months ago, always invested in the success of what she created.

Diane's greatest joy was her family and friends. She loved opening her home, hosting gatherings, and filling every room with laughter. Known as the life of the party, she was admired for her witty humor, strong opinions, and boundless love for the people in her life. Her favorite place to be was on her porch, enjoying the view and the company of those she loved most.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Davis; her son, Chris Heinemeyer and partner Christi Murray of Brazoria; her daughter, Angela and Brian Bowers of Angleton; and John and Lisa Davis of Keller, Texas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Emily Bowers (Joshua), Ryan Bowers (Alyssa), Hayden Bowers (Danny), Trent Davis (Maegan), Phillip Davis (Maddie), Mason Davis (Amy), Kyndall Schaefer (Kyle), and Tyler Murray (Keshawn), numerous great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and lifelong friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Victory Church in Brazoria on February 21 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1pm. In honor of Diane's vibrant spirit and love of life, guests are encouraged to wear her favorite colors, pink and purple, as we celebrate the woman we all lovingly called Mom, Di, My Di, Sweet Pea, and Friend.

Her legacy is one of courage, humor, loyalty, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a family strengthened by her example and a community forever touched by her presence.
