Martha Ann Tullos

Martha Ann Tullos passed away peacefully in her hometown of Lake Jackson, TX on May 23, 2026. Martha was born May 11, 1934 to Lawrence Neal Skinner and Mable Viola Skinner in Velasco, TX.

Martha graduated from Brazosport High School in 1952 where she excelled in the choir, pep squad, and was named the Senior Class Favorite. While living in Velasco, she met and married her husband of 54 years, Lon Francis Tullos. In 1962 Martha and Lon moved to Lake Jackson, settling comfortably in a newly developed subdivision, Sleepy Hollow. Here they raised three children and cared for three American Eskimo dogs. She enjoyed her many years there visiting with her neighbors and their children, working in the yard, and walking her dogs. She continued her love of singing by performing with friends in the local Heavenly Harmonizers.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Lon; her sisters, Gladys Johnson (Gail) and Iris Young (George); and her son, Lon Tullos, Jr. (Jaydean).

She is survived by her brother, Odis Skinner (Gwen), her children, Alan Tullos (Anna) and Gordon Tullos (Tina); her five grandchildren, Trent Tullos, Alissa Girod (Gunnar), Alanna Burns (Corey), Heather Esposito (Mike), and Corey Grubb; and her 11 great grandchildren, Easton Girod,
Annalise Girod, Carter Burns, Aylin Burns, Alexa, Eli and Liam Grubb, and Adrianno, Alessandro, Alucianno and Aurora Esposito; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of Martha's neighbors, each of which helped her immensely through the years, the facility workers, and her personal aide, Norma Doria.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Restwood Cemetery, with Chris Moore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the SPCA or another charity of your choice.
