Henrietta Mayer, 79, of Lake Jackson, TX, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on February 3, 2013, in Bay City, TX.

She was born October 11, 1933, to Henry Author and Lue Vira Jeane.


A long-time resident of Lake Jackson, she was a member of Second Baptist Church in Lake Jackson.


She owned her own business and was a hair stylist for many years.


She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters.


She is survived by her children, Diane Matthes, Dave Mayer, Dana Mayer and Donna Polk.


She is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.


Viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, officiating funeral services is Pastor Gary Thornton.
