Artemio Perez, 77 of Freeport, TX resident, passed away Monday, February 28th, 2022 at the age of 77. Born on June 20, 1944, in General Trevino, Nuevo Leon, he was the son of Armando and Hortencia Perez. He worked various jobs in different parts of the county, until he opened his very own restaurant in Freeport in 1985, called La Cocina. He was a man of many friends, as he always met strangers with a smile.

He was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Armando and Hortencia Perez, and his siblings Oscar and Nelly Perez.

He is survived by his children Maria Nelly, Marcos, Abigail, and Oscar; his grandchildren, Gael, Minnah, Mikaela, Makenzie, Misha, Janiyha, Jamarcos, Aracelli, Julian, Juliza, Omar, and Olivia; his siblings Marcelo, Viterbo, Abigail, Armando, Cosme, and Jaime. And many loving nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 10am to 3pm at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 N. Dixie Dr. Lake Jackson, TX.
