Carmen "Tati" was born on July 1, 1947 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Raul Col�n and Nilda Gotay. She was called to be with the Lord on August 5, 2020 at the age of 73, and is deeply missed by family and friends.

She lived her early childhood years in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and was raised by her loving paternal grandparents, Angela (Mami) and Lorenzo Col�n. In her teenage years, Carmen grew a passion for hairstyling, and at the age of 16 she graduated from high school with vocational certification in cosmetology in 1963. While in high school she met her childhood sweetheart and love of her life Moises Cornier-Alicea, and married in 1965.

Carmen and Moises briefly lived in New York from 1963 thru 1966. They then relocated to Clute, Texas in 1981, in pursuit of employment, where they raised three sons, Moises Cornier Jr, Harry Cornier Col�n, and Jason Cornier. Carmen continued her passion in Texas as a hairstylist for 37 years within the community. She was adored and respected by all of her faithful clients throughout the years. She was a committed member of the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Clute, and served as a Eucharistic Minister, as well as an active Lector, and active member of the Prayer Group (grupo de oraciones).

She is survived by her step-mother, Lydia Col�n, and husband, Moises Cornier-Alicea and their sons, Moises, Harry, and Jason; and daughters-in-law, Lina and Andrea. She was blessed to have enjoyed five grandchildren, Jeremy, Cassandra, Yaritza, Jacob, and Olivia; and additionally three step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Lexee, and Ethan; as well as her siblings, Edna, Jose, Nelson, Robert, Wanda, Raulito, Aida, and Arlene.

Carmen was preceded in death by her father, Raul Col�n; birth mother, Nilda Gotay; grandparents; and sister, Elba Col�n.

A private memorial service will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Clute, Texas on August 12, 2020. Flowers may be sent to Lakewood Funeral Home, Lake Jackson, Texas before 10am.
