Cindy Lou Tomlin (Holladay)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cindy Lou Tomlin, who passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 71.
Cindy was born on January 12, 1955, in Hammond, Indiana, to Ina Mae and James Holladay. Around 50 years ago, she made Texas her home, where she built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Thirty-seven years ago, Cindy met the love of her life, Roy Tomlin. Their love story was one for the ages—they knew almost immediately they had found their forever, marrying after just six weeks together.
Earlier in life, Cindy worked as a home health nurse, dedicating herself to caring for others. She later became a devoted stay-at-home wife.
Cindy found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family above all else. Every morning, she could be found feeding the birds, enjoying her many cups of coffee, and watching videos about birds and wildlife. She adored animals, especially her beloved dog, Zoey, who was a constant companion.
Cindy is survived by her loving daughter, Wendy Holladay; her son, Marty Holladay; and her brother, James Holladay.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Brittany Holladay and her husband, Simon; Marty Holladay Jr.; Kaylene Davison and her husband, Garrett; Brandon Wilson and his wife, Ashlee; and Cassidy Swenson.
Her legacy continues through her treasured great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Jimpson, Nevaeh Jimpson, Simon Ramirez Jr., Parker Davison, Blaine Wilson, Ashdon Wilson, Bennett Wilson, and Avery Courts.
She is also survived by her nieces, Krystn Holladay and Bailee Holladay; her cousin, Kitty Bailey; and many other extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Ina Mae and James Holladay; her beloved husband, Roy Tomlin; and her brothers, Jeff Holladay and Harold Holladay.
Whether she was sharing a cup of coffee, laughing with loved ones, or enjoying the birds outside her window, she found joy in the little things that made life beautiful. Her warmth, compassion, and love leave behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be held in the near future. Details will be shared with family and friends as they become available.
Though she is no longer with us, Cindy's love will continue to guide and comfort those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
