Dennis Clay Cockrell, 59, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on April 19, 2025.

Born in Camden, South Carolina, Dennis built a life rooted in dedication, friendship, and deep love for his family. He spent his entire career with Amoco/Ineos, where he forged lasting relationships and took pride in growing alongside his colleagues; many of whom became lifelong friends.

Dennis had a passion for collecting and shooting guns, spending time near the water, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life like poker nights and BBQ cook-offs. But above all, he cherished his role as Grandpa to his beloved grandchildren Aziel, Shayne, Zabian, Nixin, Hayven, and Novin. Time with them brought him the greatest joy, and he poured his heart into every moment.

He is survived by his children: Erika Sanchez (Stuart), Nick Cockrell (Liliana), and Robert Cockrell; his parents Robert Cockrell (Mariana), Shirley Barnes (James) and his siblings.

A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene in Lake Jackson, Texas, on June 14, 2025 at 10:00am.

Dennis will be remembered for his warm heart, sharp wit, and unwavering devotion to the ones he loved most.
