Funeral services for Donald ''Don'' Murphy, age 87, of Brazoria will be held at 10:30am

on Sunday April 13th at New Life Tabernacle Brazoria, 221 E. Texas Street Brazoria, TX

77422 with Pastor Travis Bussey officiating.

Don loved his family, his church, and most importantly God. He spent many hours

helping with church maintenance and was one of the first members when the church was

founded. He always had a story for anyone who would listen and a joke for any ear. He

served in the Navy as a Radar Man and was a crewman on the USS Gatling from

January 1, 1955 to January 1, 1957 then enlisted again January 2, 1957 to January 1,

1961.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Thomas and Dorthy Murphy and his

brother David Murphy. He is survived by his wife Linda Murphy, two sons Greg and

Aaron Murphy and two sisters Pat Sager and Susan Dalton. He had 8 grandchildren,

Jessica Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Landon Rosse, Maysie Rosse, Jacob Murphy, Micah

Murphy, Elijah Murphy, and Sarah Murphy.
