Janice (Jan) Lynn Duhon passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 71. Jan lived a life full of love, family, and faith.

Jan was born in Ferriday, Louisiana, and was raised in Westlake, Louisiana. It was there that she met and married Terry, and together they began raising their family. They welcomed Melanie and Brandon in Louisiana before moving to Brazoria County, where their youngest daughter, Erin, was born.

Jan was a remarkable woman who never met a stranger. She loved sports, but she loved her friends and family even more. It never failed that whenever she was out in public wearing her LSU lanyard or cap, someone would stop her, and the two would strike up a conversation about LSU, sports, or both.

Her faith guided the way she lived her life. Jan loved her family fiercely and would do anything for anyone, regardless of how long she had known them. She was selfless, kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there for someone in need. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on through her family and all who knew her.

Jan is survived by two of her children, Melanie Smith (Ralph) and Brandon Duhon; her three grandchildren, who lovingly called her GranJan or Grams, Khloe Wuensche (Zane), Karisa Guillen, and Bryson Duhon; and her siblings, Michael Wiley, Cindy Naron, and Debbie Loyd.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus and JoAnn Wiley; her bonus dad, Robert "Bob" Price; her husband, Joseph Terry Duhon; and their daughter, Erin Duhon.

A visitation service for Jan will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Lakewood Funeral Home & Chapel in Clute, Texas.
