Obituary

Jimmy Emil Roethemeyer passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, in Clute, Texas.

Jimmy was still very much in love with his wife of 30 years, Lou Roethemeyer, and a loving father to his four daughters: Lanelle Hallmark (Perry), Suzanne Oltremari (Tony), Rhonda Koffel (Buzz), and Nadine Roethemeyer. He was also a bonus Dad to Kenneth Parsley (Debbie), and brother-Wayne Roethemeyer. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta Roethemeyer; sons, Kent and Nathan Roethemeyer, Parents-Emil and Opal Roethemeyer, bonus sons, Mike, Shelby, and Billy Parsley, brother-Billy Roethemeyer, Sister and BIL-Rosemary and Jerry McCormick. Jimmy's legacy and love extended to his cherished 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Born April 3, 1937 and raised in Edinburg, Texas, Jimmy served in the United States Navy. He settled in Richwood, Texas, where he established Jimmy's A/C and Refrigeration Service. Beyond his professional endeavors, Jimmy was Fire Chief for the Richwood Volunteer Fire Department for many years, canoed every river in Texas, and loved woodcarving with his friends.

Jimmy's life was one of service, adventure, creativity, and love for family. His memory will be treasured by those who knew him.

His memorial will be Friday, February 7, at 11:00am at the New Beginnings Church, 400 Dixie Dr.in Lake Jackson, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Richwood Volunteer Fire Department.
