Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Bell, age 97, of Clute, TX will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, December 5th at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Horace "Buddy" Dudley officiating.

Mary Bell was born June 18, 1922 in Freeport, TX, to Virgil and Gladys Sorters. She was a loving wife and mother dedicated to her family for a lifetime. She was always there during the bad times with her love and inspiration and celebrated the happy times with her smiles and sincere love.

Survivors include, daughters; Barbara Staggs, Frances Lackey, Debra Tullous, two sons; Dewitt Bell and Raymond Bell, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband J.D. Bell, Sr., her beautiful daughter Beverly Ann Lackey, and wonderful son David Glenn.

She will be missed by all her friends and family, as she was and still is a blessing to that know her.
