Funeral services for Mary Louise Christie, 80, of Lake Jackson, TX will be held at 10:30 a.m., September 1, 2018 at St. Michael's Church, Lake Jackson. A rosary will be held at St. Michael's Church where the family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. on August 31, 2018. Interment will be held at a later date. Mary Lou was born in Beeville, Texas on September 21, 1937. She passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord, August 20, 2018, at home, with family and friends at her side. Mary Lou was a member of Catholic Daughters and active in her church. Many knew her as the "gift shop lady" at the Sea Center in Lake Jackson where she volunteered for many years. She lived a full life and traveled the world with her friends. She was an excellent cook and hostess, a master gardener and devoted to Cardigan Corgis. She will be missed by family and friends. She is survived by her son, Jim Christie and wife Patricia of Dripping Springs, TX; grandchildren, Paul Christie of Dripping Springs, Adam Christie of Vancouver, Canada; daughter, Cathy Christie Dale and husband Rob Robinson of Austin; grandchild, Kaden Dale of Austin; sister, Corrinn Clark; and niece, Jennifer Clark of Houston, TX.
