Monnie "Jane" Wagstaff Rathbun, 80, of Clute, Texas passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at CHI St. Luke's Brazosport. She was born June 18, 1938 in Freeport, Texas to Marion and Willie V. Wagstaff. Jane retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. with 33 years of service. After retiring from the Telephone Co. she drove a special needs bus for BISD for 17 years. Jane loved to travel with her husband, Lee, in their RV. Together they saw many sights across the U.S. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; son, Milton Dan Scott, Jr.; infant brother; and sister, Joe Lee Biggs. Jane is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lee Rathbun of Clute, Texas; son, Gary L. Scott (Kim) of Lake Jackson, Texas; step daughter, Jodi Lee Rathbun (Donnie) of Sun Valley, Idaho; grandsons, Stephen Scott (Jocelyn) of Jones Creek, Texas, Jake Scott (Hannah) of Lake Jackson, Texas, Shawn Scott (Emily) of Jones Creek, Texas and Kenneth Scott of Big Spring, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jayden Scott, Lauren Blunk and Noah Scott; nieces, Marianne Vrazel (Paul), Sharon Chlebek (Johnnie), Patty Wied (Eddie), Marty Fontenot (Dirck) and numerous great nieces and nephews. Viewing will be on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, Lake Jackson, Texas. Service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, Lake Jackson, Texas, November 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lewis James Thomas of Reaching Out for Jesus Ministries officiating. Burial will follow at Restwood Cemetery in Clute, Texas.
