Pearlene Nixon Webb, 91, of Brazoria, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by family on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Pearlene was born on May 14, 1935 in Bedias, Texas, to Clarence Edward Nixon Sr. and Susie Laverne Nixon. She and her family moved to Freeport in the early 1940s, where she later graduated from Brazosport Highschool in 1953.
Pearlene lived a full and adventurous life, embracing every opportunity to learn, travel, and experience new places. Throughout her life, she lived many places and treasured memories and friendships she made along the way.
In her younger years, she married Bert Jr. Morris, and together they welcomed three sons who became the joy of her life. Later, she married Charles B. Webb and together they shared a devoted marriage and recently celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary.
Pearlene was a woman of many talents and a strong work ethic. Over the years, she worked as a nurse for the Brazoria County Sheriffs Department, served the community through her work at Willenburg Pharmacy/ Evan’s Drug, and proudly owned and operated The Hut/ Steak Hut. She found great fulfillment in helping others and built many lasting relationships.
Above all, Pearlene cherished her family. She was lovingly known as “MawMaw” and “GiGi” to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren, who were among the greatest blessings of her life. She delighted in spending time with her family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Pearlene also found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, baking and making candy, and caring for her beloved dogs. She especially treasured the companionship with her chiweenie “Daisy Mae” whose unconditional love and comfort brought her great happiness.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles B. Webb; her son, Gregory B. Morris, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great -great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Clarence E Nixon Jr. (Cotton), Nancy Lou Nixon, Charlene Nixon, James E. Nixon; her first husband, Bert Jr. Morris; her sons Stanley Morris and Lawrence Morris ( Larry); and her grandchildren Jeremy Morris and Melissa Morris.
Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we rejoice in knowing that Pearlene is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her legacy of love, strength, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
