Rodney Hickey, 65, of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on June 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 27, 1961, in Freeport, Texas, Rodney was the son of Charles and Pearl Hickey. He was a proud Union carpenter for 45 years and was known for his strong work ethic, skilled craftsmanship, and dedication to his trade.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rodney was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He cherished time spent with his family and will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for those closest to him.

Rodney is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rodney Jr. and Summer Hickey; his daughter and son-in-law, Ashlee and Matt Reed; his daughter, Lanae Hickey, and her fiancé, Jason Dunn; and his beloved granddaughter, Paityn Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pearl Hickey; his brother, Charles (Chuck) Hickey Jr.; and the love of his life, his wife, Lenora Hickey.

Rodney's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Funeral service celebrating Rodney’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the Funeral Service at 11am, with Ashley Sisson Isaacs officiating at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Texas.
