Ruby C. Batts (Momo) of Sweeny passed away at the age of 91 peacefully in her home on Monday, April 23, 2018 surrounded by family. She was born September 12, 1926 in Miami, FL, later resided in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she retired from Ft. Lauderdale Fire Department. After moving to Texas in 1990, Momo spent years providing unconditional love and support to her family, friends, and beloved animals. A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son, Paul Batts and wife Karen, daughter, Pam Johnson and husband Jr, grandson, Jeremy Batts and wife Susan, grandson, Michael Batts and wife Erin, granddaughter, Melissa Schulz and husband Mike Schulz, granddaughter, Jessica Stubblefield and husband Derek, granddaughter, Katie Batts and fianc� Cade Penney, sister Pat Witmer, sister Mary Owen and husband Jim, and numerous great-grandchildren of all she adored. Preceded in death by her husband Herbert O. Batts, mother, Bessie L. Cheney, father, Bill Cheney, and son Kenny Batts. A private memorial service to be held by family.
