Shirley (Allen) Parrott at 97 Peacefully passed July 12, 2024, in the comfort of her home in Lake

Jackson

Shirley was born February 18, 1927, in Houston Texas to Captain Bennie Allen and Irene (Lee)

Allen, the family moved to Quintana Island when Shirley was a toddler. Growing up on Quintana

island was an amazing adventure instilling in Shirley a deep love of family and the beauty of the

Gulf of Mexico as shared by many from the front porch of the family home with displays of a

Texas historical marker ''The Allen Place''

Shirley moved to Lake Jackson in the 1950 calling it home until her passing Shirley retired from

BISD after over 30 years in food service management. She enjoyed working with the ladies and

interacting with the students and community. Shirley loved to have her home filled with family

and friends. Whether it was for the traditional Sunday gatherings or just stopping by for a cup

of coffee. Shirley would meet you at the door with a welcoming smile saying ''Come on in and

have a seat, 'll put the coffee on and make us a fresh pot''

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Captin Bennie and Irene Allen, her husband

Jimmie Parrott, her daughter Tenna (Parrott) Dengler, her sisters Dorothy (Allen) Biggs, Betty

(Allen) Beeson, Joyce (Allen) Beeson, Her bothers Jack Allen, Jeff Allen, and Skippy Allen.

Shirley is survived by her Daughter Sharla (Parrott) Reynaga, Grandsons James Ringo, Jason

Ringo(Ange), and EJ Nicar (Marcia)

Great-grandsons James Allen Ringo, Gaven Ringo, and Thomas Nicar

Great-granddaughters Lyndsey Ringo, Lacie Lartigue (Samuel), Malaki Ringo, Ansley Ringo,

Madison and Ivy Nicar

Great-great-granddaughters Wynter De La Fe, Avlynn, and Dixie Lartigue as well as numerous

nieces, nephews, and friends she loved dearly.

Death is not the end of the story, it's just a transition.
