Aubrey Wendell Person

A grave side service will be held Monday, September 8th, 2025, at Kirk Cemetery, in Mart, Texas, at 2:30 p.m., which will be officiated by Jimmy Cotton.

Wendell passed away Thursday, September 4th, 2025, in Clute, Texas.

He is survived by daughter, Cara Diver and husband, Johnathan of Freeport, Texas; son, David Person and wife, Donna, of Needville, Texas; granddaughters, LeighAnn Biesman of Seattle, Washington, Nicole Person of Newport News, Virginia, and Natalie Person of San Marcos, Texas; sister, Ginger Wood of Mexia, Texas; three great-granddaughters, London, Finley, and August Biesman of Abilene, Texas; and one niece, Katie Wood of Angleton, Texas.

He was preceded in death by parents, Euell and Laura Mae Person of Freeport, Texas.

He was a graduate of Brazosport High School in Freeport, Texas. In his early years he served in The US Army competing basic training in Kentucky. After the Army he took a job with Dow Chemical as a pipe fitter and later as lab technician.

He enjoyed sports especially baseball. He was very strong in his religious beliefs and donated in numerous ways. He also enjoyed spending time with family and will be missed.
