In Loving Memory of Captain William Bradley Wicker

November 28, 1959 – September 19, 2026

Captain William Bradley Wicker, affectionately known as “Brad,” passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 66. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Brad leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, unforgettable stories, and a legacy of love and laughter.

To know Brad was to love him. Known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality, Brad had a remarkable ability to bring laughter to those around him. He was a natural storyteller who could captivate an audience with tales of his children, grandchildren, and countless adventures. Whether sharing a humorous memory or recounting an extraordinary day on the water, Brad had a way of making even the simplest moments memorable.

A true captain at heart, Brad found his greatest sense of freedom and adventure on the open water. An experienced and passionate fisherman, he possessed an extraordinary ability to navigate a boat and a talent for catching fish that most could only dream of landing. The water was more than a pastime for Brad; it was a place where he felt most at home. His many fishing adventures became the foundation of stories that will continue to be shared for generations.

Beyond his love for the water, Brad enjoyed the outdoors, particularly deer and dove hunting with his sons. These outings were about far more than the hunt itself. They were opportunities to spend time together, strengthen family bonds, and create lasting memories. Whether offshore, in the woods, or gathered around family, Brad treasured the experiences and traditions he shared with those he loved.

Above all, Brad’s greatest legacy is the family he loved and the memories he leaves behind. His presence brought laughter, his stories brought people together, and his traditions created bonds that will endure long after his passing. He will be remembered not only for his adventures and accomplishments but also for the countless everyday moments that made him so special to those closest to him.

Brad is survived by his three children, Brandin Wicker, Tyler Wicker, and Taylor Wicker-Hamrick; his siblings, Mike Wicker, Mark Wicker, Lynn Wicker, and Anne Wicker; and his beloved grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Wicker and June Wicker, and his twin brother, Thomas “Tommy” Wicker.

Although Brad’s time here has come to an end, the stories he told, the laughter he inspired, and the traditions he established will live on through his family and friends. His memory will remain a treasured part of the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Captain William Bradley Wicker will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Stahlman Park, 2211 Bluewater Highway, Surfside Beach, Texas 77541.

Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Brad are warmly invited to gather in remembrance, share their favorite stories, and celebrate a life filled with adventure, laughter, and love.

To know Brad was to love him, and to love him was to have a story worth telling.

Fair winds and following seas, Captain Brad. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
