Winnie Richards Evans, 92, of Richwood passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019. She was born June 14, 1926 to Edgar Daniels and Ruby Gibson Daniels in Palestine, Texas. She was a former member of Shady Oaks Baptist and currently was a member of First Baptist Church Lake Jackson. She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill Richards and second husband William (Poor Boy) Evans; son, Steven Richards, her brother Billy Hanson and her parents. Winnie is survived by 3 children: Jean Hendrix and husband Jack, Billy Paul Richards and wife Betty, Douglas Eugene Rasmussen and wife Kathy, 5 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 1pm until service time at 2:30pm Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jary Thornton. Interment will follow at Restwood Cemetery. Pall bearers will be William Sterling Dowdy, Steven Ramsey,Justin Rasmussen, Cory Hagan, Erik Chitwood, Jacob Divin and Ricky Richards.
