James Kelley Phillips, age 91, a resident of Richwood, Texas passed away Thursday, April 18th.
He was born on June 5th, 1927, in Huntsville, Texas to H. H. and Mina Phillips. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea where he earned a bronze star. He retired from Dow Chemical in 1985. He was an avid golfer and even won several amateur trophies. He enjoyed hunting and loved to cruise with friends and family. He was married to the love of his life for 70 years and was truly most happy with family. He is survived by wife, June Phillips; son, James Ed Phillips (Diana); daughter, Anne Lyon (Mark); grandchildren, Jennifer Auer (Chris), Seth Schroeder (Anna), Kimberly Holley; great grandchildren, Garrett, Emerson and Griffin. A memorial service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 4 , at 3 p.m. Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Me Phillips was a fine friend and neighbor and will be dearly missed.He was a giving man and always there in a time of need.My prayers go out to Mrs Phillips and her family in there time of need and I will be there for you if needed

June, I am just now reading of Kelley's death. He was such a fine man and truly a good friend to Doug and me. We so enjoyed the class gatherings with the two of you. Please know that my heart goes out to you and yours with the loss of this precious soul.
