Funeral services for Charlie Jones, 66, of Lake Jackson, will be held at 2:00pm on August 22, 2019 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Pastor Thomas Lester officiating. Interment will be held at Brazoria Cemetery.

Surrounded by loved ones, Charlie passed away after a battle with ALS on August 18, 2019. Charlie was born on February 16, 1953 in San Antonio, TX, to Charles Jones and Aiko (Saito) Jones. He attended Texas A&M, earning his B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Dow Chemical & Olin.

Survivors include, wife; Priscilla Jones, son; Timothy Jones and fiancé, Kayla Hamilton, brother; Tommy Jones and wife Johnnie, sisters; Diane Gillis and husband Paul, Debbie Bramhall and husband Tommy, all of San Antonio.

Pallbearers will be, Doug Alexander, Paul Alexander, Tommy Jones, Paul Gillis, Ronnie Broaddus and Jim Simon.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to your local ALS Association.

So sorry to hear about Charlie. I so enjoyed working with him. He was one of the easiest person to get along. Very smart guy also. Praying for Priscilla and Timothy.

Charlie was one of the kindest souls I have ever known. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone and he was always willing to help anyone. He is missed.
