David Stapp McWilliams passed away in his home on Monday October the 3rd, 2022 at the age of 58. David was a loving father, son, brother, and grandfather. David was born August 11th, 1964, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Robert and Gwyndolyn McWilliams.
David was an Electrician for more than 30 years of his life. David obtained his Texas State Journeyman Electrician license in 2019. David was always willing to give electrical advice to family and friends and became known as electrical tech support to many people. David was always willing to teach a younger electrician the things he had learned over the years himself. David was passionate about music of any kind. In his spare time David loved to play his drums or guitars, camping, fishing, watching the sunrise, and spending time with family and friends.
David is preceded in death by his Father Robert McWilliams, Mother Gwyndolyn McWilliams, Brothers Robert McWilliams Jr, Edward Todd McWilliams, son David Stapp McWilliams II, and Cousin William (Barney) McWilliams II.
David is survived by his Fiancée Kathryn Haynes, Son Jonathan McWilliams and wife Staci. Brother Daniel (Danny) McWilliams, Cousin Michael McWilliams and wife Marley, Cousin Richard McWilliams 4th, 5 grandchildren Ashley, Alexis, Gage, Shelby and Laci, and 1 great grandchild Marlee.
There will be a celebration of life for David at a later date.

I will always remember the two of us ballroom dancing on the deck. Barney wasn't much of a dancer, so he enjoyed watching us. And of course, there was always music. You really made a difference in Barney's life. The electrical lessons that you taught him were used for the remainder of his life. I sure hope that the two of you have hooked up, along with your brothers, and are spinning yarns about your lives and experiences. Love you always, cousin in law!

We love you so much papa David I miss you everyday it has been hard without you here I miss you so much but I'm glad you are no longer in pain and you are with our father he will watch over you and keep you safe.
