RIP - just finding out Mr. Womack, my grandfather, has passed in 2011. It's now 2014. My condolences to the family. Came to find out in 2005 he was actually my grandfather. We were able to meet and have dinner and he met my wife and child at the time but it's just too bad we didn't get to know each other sooner. He had a great recollection of his exploits during WW II as it seemed to be the only thing he loved/could talk about. But, at least we were fortunate enough to meet and that meant so much and he gave me pictures of my late father Michael, whom I never met.

WAYMON WAS THE BEST. MADE MY DAY WHENEVER I SAW HIM. LOVED TALKING TO HIM ABOUT HIS MILITARY SERVICES, THINGS THAT HAPPENED, JUST EVERY DAY COVERSATION. CONSIDERED HIM DEAR FRIEND. HAVEN'T SEEN OR TALKED TO HIM IN A LONG TIME THOUGHT, AND ACTUALLY WAS THINKING ABOUT HIM THE DAY BEFORE HE PASSED. HE WILL BE DEARLY MISSED.
