Aunt Dorothy was very a very special angel. During some challenging times as a teenager, she and Uncle Vernon took my brother Danny and myself into their home for a few months in Waco at the Baylor Manor Apartments that they owned. I learned to swim in that apartment pool. Aunt Dorothy would take trips to her home town in Brazoria occasionally and invited me to tag along with her sometimes. I always accepted. Even after I joined the Air Force for 20 years, I still stayed in contact with her, with visits there and phone calls. Truly miss Aunt Dorothy.

I am very sorry for your loss. I am a member of St. Mary's Church in Waco, Texas and I remember Dorothy being our church secretary for many years. She was always very kind helpful.

I have fond memories of having worked with Dorothy when I served as organist/choir director at St.Mary's in Waco. Dorothy was such a dedicated, kind, and helpful person. Her family members are in my prayers as they grieve her loss.

Dorothy Mullan was a member of our Daughters of 1812 Chapter called Micajah Fort. She transferred into our Chapter several years ago and was already in the Nursing Home. I visited with her on the phone and she was a delightful person. I think our Registrar Bartlett Ramsey went to the Nursing Home for a visit. She never did get to attend one of our meetings. Our sympathies go to the family. I have reported her death to the National office of Daughters of 1812 and there will be a Memorial Service for her on the State Level when the State meeting occurs in Texas. She gave me a year's membership in the genealogical society as a Christmas present in 1988, and I'm still there as Secretary of the bard. She was an old-timer, dating back to 1967. It was founded in 1958. I join you in grieving over the loss of Dorothy, such a good friend of I don't remember how many years. God rest her soul and bring comfort to all of us. -- Betty

Sadden on hearing about Dorothy's passing. I worked with her at St. Mary's in Waco for several years. She was a fine lady.

Blessing on her and her family.
