Jesse L. Blume, Jr., age 92, of Lake Jackson, TX passed away peacefully in his home on September 15, 2021. He was born in Beaumont, TX on August 9, 1929, and proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He was married to Shirley Morris on September 4,1954. They moved to Lake Jackson where he worked for Dow Chemical Company for over 26 years. Jesse loved to read and could always be found looking in the thrift shops for a great buy. He loved to travel with his wife, Shirley in their travel trailer especially in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. Life was always an adventure and he loved seeing the big skies and open ranges. Jesse and Shirley never turned down a game of dominoes and cards. Connecting with his friends and family was very important and he did this up until recent years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse, Sr. and Frances Hoffman Blume, his brother Frank R. Blume and sisters, Doris Tedder and Edith Blume, his son Michael L. Blume and granddaughter, Dori Blume.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley Morris Blume, daughter Barbara Kelly, daughter in law, Martha Blume, grandchildren Matthew Kelly, David Palacios, Kaitlyn Blume and her husband, Kenneth, and great grandchildren Avian, Lorien and Connor and Codie Blume.

A private celebration of his life will be held soon.

Uncle "Jr" you were a very special man with a big smile and easy laugh. I will always remember the adventures we had camping and sitting by the firelight. Our games of dominos and love of books. Rest in peace my sweet uncle, may your travels continue. My love and condolences to my sweet family.
