Jeremy "J.D." Duane Wilson

Jeremy Duane Wilson "J.D." born May 22, 1978 met his father in eternal love August 12, 2022.
Memorial services for J.D., age 44, of Angleton, Texas will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Lakewood Funeral Home, 98 N. Dixie Dr. Lake Jackson TX 77566. Family will receive friends from 11:00am and 1:00pm.David Lackey will be leading in Prayer at 1:00pm in the Chapel and at burial immediately following at Restwood Cemetery.

J.D., also fondly known as Jeremy to his family, was a bold and spirited child, although this may come to a surprise to everyone that knew him! He loved wearing his cowboy boots everywhere, and by age five mastered lip syncing to Rick Springfield while "sissy" did the flashlights all over the room in the dark for the show.

He made many childhood memories with his sister, cousins and friends; he called his friends brothers… to this day… even in the absence of sound.
As he continued to grow into his strong will and independent personality, Jeremy gathered countless loved ones, and kept even the earliest ones always close at heart.

J.D. quickly gravitated to beach life, as it was love at first sight. From pure nature, sunsets and mountain snow to seizing the city life, extraordinary experiences and sharp suits, his spirit was all around, just as it is now.

He was a dear friend to many. His passion for life and living, always fearlessly seeking another adventure, was evident in everything he sought out to do. He had a way of drawing people close to him with ease. He loved to be the life of the party always ready to laugh and have a great time making new memories.

J.D. had a saying to so many, especially family, that he would "always have your back no matter what" and he meant it.

Jeremy Duane Wilson is survived by his mother, Linda, daughter, Gianna, sister, Jennifer, brother-in-law, Jesse, nephew, Aaron, niece, Jessica, and fiancé, Stephanie. Additional family surviving J.D. include his cousins, Edward, Michael, Seve, Jace, Rachel, Amy, Dana, Eric, Robin and Donna. Other surviving family members are his aunts and uncles, Margaret, Henry, Josie, Noel, Bud and Laura.

Jeremy is preceded by his father, Aaron, aunts and uncle, Roberta, Lexa and Tom as well as his cousin, Jacob.

Pallbearers for J.D. include: Edward Botello, Michael Botello, Dale Pierce, Jim Hoover, Ryan Neal and Keith Bough.

"There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief…and unspeakable love." Washington Irvine

I miss you man. Because of the age difference I know we didn't spend much time together but the little time we did spend made me wish we had done it more. Hope to see you again one day so we can.

J.D.
You will always have a place in my heart as my first love! We taught each other a lot about life on our own and learning as we go. I am so thankful to have all the wonderful memories we shared. From our first fur babies, our matching cars, bubbles filling our kitchen, key-lime slime, grease fires, and always having at lease one of your friends on our couch and so many more great times! 😂
I always loved that you were a Mama's boy because I knew that made you a good man and I love your Mama! WWJD!(We will JD!) I know you are jammin out with your Dad now & that makes us happy! I wish I could've talked to you one last time. I know we will again one day, but hopefully not for a while. Thank you for being a part of my life. I wouldn't be the woman I am today if you hadn't been a big part of my life. Give Macy and Morgan kisses and hugs from me…your Dad too! XOXO, Addie

I called you my brother, because that's exactly what you were. You were there when I needed you, and I loved you very much. I know that I will never meet someone like you again, simply because it is not humanly possible for someone to be late to EVERY SINGLE THING. I came to expect it, so I would purposely tell you to be places early. I will always miss our late night rides. You lived one hell of a life brother, shame it had to end so soon.

J.D.,
I love you brother. When I was a youth, you took me under your wing. We had good times, did some crazy things together, but I always felt safe around you even driving way too fast together. You opened your home to me, threw me birthday parties and always checked up on me. As adults, we became even closer. We both had a love for the Lord and I am proud of the man you became. As an adult, I saw a much more generous man and you were always well loved. I am glad that we had the chance to become friends. I will keep an eye on your family from here on out. Until we meet again, your brother, David

Dude,
We had some great times! Taught me how to play blackjack, successfully counting 3 decks like he was a genuine mathematician. Took me under his wing bringing me to clubs, bars, parties, anywhere large numbers of people gathered he was there like a Rockstar all the time! I had never experienced that side of life till JD. We did a bunch of stupid stuff constantly when we hung out. I am 6 years and 3 days younger than jd so needless to say we celebrated a few bdays on a few memorial day weekends. One night at some irrelevant location after a little partying he decided I needed to even out my earring so he pierced my right ear with some random sharp pointy thing, definitely not an ear piercing device, which is still there.
I looked up to jd when I was younger (18-21) and tried to be like Jake, and I think knowing him at that age definitely played a role in who I am now. We had arguments and disagreements but he never missed a chance to tell me happy fathers day. Wish we could have rode together. I had no idea he was even sick.
I should have called ya more brotato. See you on the other side my friend.
Better watch out Elvis the new king of bad boys is up there with you now!!

Goodbye for now Dude. -ROCKY SNYDER

Dearest Brother-In-Law,

We entered each other's lives as friends and became brothers. Like brothers, we cared, loved, fought then forgave.
I am very thankful for our last conversation and goodbye.

May you Rest In Peace, Always.
