Heber O'Brian Walters returned to his Heavenly Father on September 3, 2011. Brian was born in Freeport, Texas on March 18, 1943 to Heber M. and Carrie Lavada Walters.

He spent his childhood as the youngest of 6 boys growing up in Velasco and Lake Jackson, graduating from Brazosport High School in 1961. Brian was active in the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served his mission from 1962-1964 in the northwestern states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1966, completing basic training at Ft. Bliss, Texas, and honorably discharged in 1968. Brian had a variety of hobbies and interests primarily involving time spent with his children and grandchildren, genealogy, working on cars and motorcycles, and had an avid interest in military and aviation history.

Brian is survived by his sons Michael and wife Carri; Daniel and wife Rachel; and daughter Carrie; grandchildren Grace, Kate, Clay, Kristin, Addison, and Wyatt; his brother Floyd; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Leland, Tom, Noel, and Mike; and his daughter Kristin.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8th, at Lakewood Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Floyd Walters, Steve Walters, Randy Walters, Glendon Walters, Michael Walters, and Daniel Walters. Burial services will be held at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek following the funeral service.

So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I know Brian is at a sweet reunion on the other side of the vail. Tho I haven't seen him for a few years, I will miss my Eternal friend. Gail Chevalier
