William R. O'Hara June 20, 1931-January 31, 2022.

Known by Bob to his family and friends, he was born and raised in Louisiana by Lillian and Robert O'Hara. He graduated from Pickering High School and his dad signed for him to enlist in the Navy. A favorite time in his life, he often told of his adventures aboard the USS Piedmont where he was an Engineman and he also was assigned to the Captains skiff ferrying officers. Shortly after discharge he met and married Pauline Cryer and moved to Texas where he worked as a tin smith for Dow before he became a tile setter. He worked for several area home builders and there are many homes in the Brazosport area with his tile work still in them.

Bob and Pauline owned Custom Carpet and Floor in Lake Jackson for over 20 years. They retired from that business and worked for Stewart's grocery and for the VS Ranch.

Bob loved carpentry and built multiple houses, remodeled a few and helped others with their building projects. Gardening, hunting, fishing, working on duck and shorebird decoys and going dancing were favorite pasttimes.

He was a man with strong decent morals and was given to hospitality, loved to entertain and was entertaining, genuinely loved his family and his many pets and always quick with a story of the old days and the old ways.

Bob is preceeded in death by his parents, sister Barbara O'Hara Mullins, brother in law Moon Mullins and his beloved wife Pauline Cryer O'Hara. He is survived by daughter Pamela O'Hara Howell and son in law Jason G. Howell, brother Pat O'Hara and sister in law Johnette Fee O'Hara, nephew Scotty O'Hara and his wife Renita O'Hara, all of Leesville, nephew Larry Mullins and wife Karen and family, all of Pearland.

He was a member of Pickering Masonic Lodge,
Past Master of Lake Jackson Masonic Lodge NO. 1317
