Kashayar John Derek Jatala In the early hours of March 25, 2011 we lost our son and brother, Derek, just twelve days past his 35th birthday.
Kashayar John Derek Jatala was born on March 13, 1976 to Khosrow John and Peggy Jatala. He grew up in Lake Jackson where he graduated from Brazoswood High School in 1994.
He is survived by his parents Khosrow John and Peggy Jatala, of Lake Jackson; sister, Sara Jatala, of Katy; and beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Derek was a bright and fun-loving soul who always had a smile on his face and a kind word to share. He was a sweet and generous spirit who shared his contagious enthusiasm for life with all who were blessed to meet him. Derek was a natural athlete that excelled at many sports throughout his life and he effortlessly moved from one sport to another. He made life-long friends with so many people and he never met a stranger. Derek loved to listen to all kinds of music and shared his love of music with all who knew him. He touched many lives with his positive attitude, sense of humor, and gentle heart. We will miss him and cherish his memory the rest of our lives.
Private interment will be Monday, March 28, 2011, attended by the immediate family.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home, 98 N. Dixie Dr. Lake Jackson, TX 77566.
