Clovis Thomas (Tom) Scarborough, 64, of Lake Jackson, TX passed away at his home on November 30, 2023. He was born in Houston, TX , son of the late Floyd and Norma Scarborough.

He was a graduate of Aldine Senior High School and Houston Baptist University. After serving as a machinist mate in the U.S. Navy, he was employed for the majority of his career by South Texas Project Nuclear Power Plant for 19 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Regina (Morehead) Scarborough; sons, Glenn Scarborough of Philadelphia, PA and John Scarborough of Houston, TX; step daughters, Ashley Nguyen and fiancé Mitchell Zubieta and Rachel Nguyen of Houston, TX; his dog Sparky and grand dogs Patches (Barky), Daisy and Luna. He was especially proud of his children and loved spending time with family and friends more than anything.

He is also survived by his sister Shirley Jones and twin brother, Bob (Denise) Scarborough; mother-in-law Ruth Morehead; brother-in-law Tim (Terry) Morehead and sister-in-law Katrina (Steve Ward) Ware and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law Robert Morehead.

He enjoyed travelling, photography, and the monthly game and poker nights with friends and his annual game week trips with several close friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to SPCA of Brazoria County (spca-brazoria.com) or Gulf Coast STARS animal rescue (gulfcoaststars.org).

Celebration of life services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, TX on Wednesday, December 6th at 10:30 am.

Dear Tom, I got to know you through Regina and with regret, we never got to meet in person, either in the US or the UK. Nevertheless, I still consider you a friend. May you be granted the peace you deserve, your life will live on in the hearts of many.
