Sybil was born in 1928 to Nona and C. A. Thompson. She worked for 10 years at Dow followed by 10 years teaching at public schools or working at accounting offices. Sybil earned her Masters and Doctorate during her 25 years as a teacher, division chair, and professional program developer at Brazosport College. She then worked another 12 years part time at the college. A life long, proud Methodist, Sybil was very active at First United Methodist in Lake Jackson. Working hard and serving God were the cornerstones of her life. Sybil was a blessing to so many people for so long.
