Derrek Maddox of Angleton, Tx passed away on March 11, 2024. He was born February 25, 1987. He arrived 15 minutes after his identical twin (Dustin). Soon afterwards he got to meet his big sister (Crystal) Our beautiful family was complete.
He enjoyed fishing, video games, playing the guitar and spending time with his family. We will miss him and his great sense of humor.
Derrek was a passenger in a car accident which left him with a broken back in several places. By the grace of GOD the doctor was able to help Derrek regain the ability to walk. Unfortunately, he suffered years of back pain and anxieties. Derrek's faith gives us great comfort knowing he is with our heavenly father and suffers no more.
He is preceded in death by his father Shayne Maddox, grandparents Jack and Mona Maddox, Great grandparents Arno and Gladys Weeks, Uncle Tony Weeks, grandparents Arthur Perkins, Betty Rose, Great grandparents A.J. and Tressie Perkins
He is survived by his daughter Ashton Maddox, brother Dustin Maddox, sister Crystal Cole, mother Melissa Maddox, uncle Kevin Perkins, nephews Maddox Cole, Myles Cole, Jensen Maddox and niece Jasper Maddox
Rev 21:4-5
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
