John Paul Sanders, 78, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2024 and entered his new heavenly home, where he was greeted by his Mom, Dad, sister, JoAnne, and brother, Jimmy. John was born to James and Ardyth Sanders on December 7, 1945 in Houston, TX.

He was a loving husband to Barbara Sanders for nearly 42 years. He also was an extremely devoted father to Linda Vincent and husband, Ronnie, Dean Sanders and wife Lyndsay, Ryan Sanders and wife Clarissa, and Matt Sanders and wife, Rachel. His grandchildren were the source of much of his joy, Paige and Javier Ruiz, Justin and Stephanie, Kenton and Lauren, and Madison Vincent, Luke, Joy, Seth, Rhys, Myla, Rhett, and Carolynn Sanders, along with great grandchildren Conner, Clement, Addison, Ellie, and Collin. He is also survived by brother, Jerry Sanders.

Johnny had many jobs with security and tire companies, but was most passionate about owning his own tire business.

Johnny had a personality that warmed every room through his humor! You knew his affection by the ways he made jokes at your expense!

Johnny was an avid golfer, NASCAR lover, and most recently Jr Sprint car lover! His last years, his favorite driver was his granddaughter, Carolynn. His final years were spent being her crew chief and favorite pit crew member.

Johnny's family all knows that he has gained not only his wings, but also his legs and is once again on the golf course and drag strip.

To celebrate the life of our real life super hero, John Paul Sanders, the family is asking for a private celebration of life that will then be followed by a celebration with everyone who has prayed and celebrated Johnny's journey with us over this past decade.

From 6:30pm-8:30pm on Sunday, June 2nd, the family is requesting you join us for a celebration of life at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, TX. This will be a casual attire opportunity to join us in celebrating Johnny being able to finally golf again!

If you have any memories you would like to share about our guy or our journey, please write them and bring them with you so that we can collect and cherish forever. There will be a box to collect these at the event.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a contribution, may make donations towards memorial expenses directly to the family. But truly, the family is simply requesting your gift of prayers and shared memories.
