Ogden Loeb ''Bo'' Bass, III, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, surrounded by his family. Bo was born October 4, 1956 to Judge Ogden and Nan Bass in Freeport, Texas. He is a 1975 graduate of Brazosport High School. He was a proud member of Air ROTC Squadron Seven (Seagram 7) of the Corps at Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelors in Range Science and two Master's in Land Development and Urban and Regional Planning.
Bo spent his professional career working in the public sector. He worked in the Dallas and Ft. Worth area for 20 years, ending his career in League City as the Assistant City Manager.
Bo loved to fish, hunt and all things having to do with the outdoors. He was also an avid Sci-Fi enthusiast, and preferred Star Trek to Star Wars. But the most important thing in his life was his family. Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Uncle were roles that he held and which gave him joy. He was a loyal friend, and was generous to those in need.
Bo is survived by his loving wife, Nicole; and her daughter, Annicka. He is also survived by his two daughters, Molly Raney (Jordan and four children) and Emily Eifert (Walker and three children). He is also survived by Nan Bass (mother); and his sisters and brothers, Gayle Derbonne (Skip), Mike Bass (Irma), Brooks Bass (Stephanie), Melissa Lawson (Levi); and a multitude of loving nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th, at 1:00 p.m., at First Methodist Church Freeport. The family would like to thank Freeport Lakewood Funeral Home for all their support and attention to details, and Doctors Choice Hospice for their kind care.

Bo was such a good boss and most of all a friend who would offer words of wisdom to many of us. I will cherish our talks and our friendship. Sending love to the family.

It was my good fortune to have worked, albeit for only a short spell, with Bo at thd City of League City. Truly a stellar, unselfish gentleman; and one whom I wish I'd known better.
